The 2017 W&M Global Film Festival, in partnership with the Reeder Media Center, is proud to present the 13th annual 24 Speed student filmmaking competition!
Starting early evening on Friday, February 10, 2017, students were given 24 hours to write, shoot, and edit a short film. Each team was assigned a required genre, prop, and line of dialogue that must be used in the film.
The films that beat the clock and meet the deadline premiered at a screening at the Kimball Theatre on Wednesday, February 15. Prizes were awarded to the best films including the Audience Award and the Jury Award, for both current student and alumni teams. The winning films will be featured as part of the Canon Shorts Program #1 on February 24.
More information on the 2017 event is available on the Reeder Media Center 24 Speed page.
